  • What is belly dance?

       Belly dance is a traditional dance originating from the Middle East and North Africa. It is one of the most popular dance forms, and is performed worldwide at restaurants, festivals, and in films and on television. Belly dance has many styles, the best known being Egyptian, Turkish and Tribal. All three of these styles are featured at Khayyam’s belly dance nights!

 

  • When can I see belly dance at Khayyam?

       Khayyam has belly dance performances on Thursday and Friday nights at 8:15pm.

 

  • Do I have to make reservations for the belly dance show?

       Reservations are strongly recommended as the performance room fills up quickly. For reservations, call 617-383-6264.

 

  • Is there a cover charge for the belly dance show?

       There is no cover charge for Khayyam’s belly dance shows.

 

  • I’m a belly dancer. How can I perform at Khayyam?

       If you are a belly dancer who would like more information about performing at Khayyam, please e-mail info@khayyambellydance.com.

 

  • Are Khayyam belly dance shows appropriate for all ages?

       The belly dance shows at Khayyam are family-friendly and suitable for patrons of all ages.

 

  • Should the audience tip the belly dancer?

       The audience is allowed to throw money at the dancer, but they may not touch the dancer’s body or put money in her costume.

 

  • I liked the belly dancer that I saw at Khayyam. When will she perform there again?
